The death of the judge, the scholar and the mujtahid Sheikh Muhammad bin Ismail Al-Omrani, the Mufti of the Republic of Yemen, after the age of one hundred years, he spent most of it receiving the legal science, teaching it and ijtihad in it
Praise be to God, who is not praised for anything bad except Him, and blessings and peace be upon the one who made his heirs scholars and preachers.. and after
With great sadness and sorrow, and with hearts that believe in God’s decree and destiny, we received the news of the death of the Mufti of the Republic of Yemen, the nation’s scholar, the sheikh of the community, the narrator of the hadiths of the Sunnah, the judge of judges and the scholar of Yemen, the hard-working scholar Muhammad bin Ismail Al-Omrani, who passed away at dawn today, Monday, the second of Dhul-Hijjah 1442. Hijri for more than a century of years.
He was born, may God have mercy on him, in Old Sana’a, and he is from a house of knowledge and judge. His grandfather is the judge, the scholar Muhammad bin Ali Al-Omrani. He was one of the most prominent students of the Sheikh of Islam, Imam Muhammad bin Ali Al-Shawkani. During his scientific life, he was inclined to ijtihad, and he was not intolerant of a particular doctrine in his life. Influenced by his sheikh by the medium of Imam Al-Shawkani, where he is considered a scientific extension of him.
The fame of the deceased has spread, and his knowledge has spread, and his teaching has expanded, until he became known among Muslim countries and all over the world.
He has distinguished scientific contributions during his long career, where he worked in the judiciary, as well as in the field of teaching, and in mosques circles from the early days of his life until his death, and he, may God have mercy on him, was trusted by both the private and the public. Fatwas flocked to him from inside and outside Yemen.
With the departure of the scholar, the mujtahid, Judge Muhammad bin Ismail Al-Omrani, the jurisprudential, judicial and advocacy arena is losing a respectable scientific reference, and one of its great figures, but our consolation is that he left hundreds of scholars following his path, throughout Yemen and the Islamic world.
Our Sheikh, may God have mercy on him, was one of the eminent imams and great jurists, rather the great scholars of Yemen without a doubt, and their reference when conflicting.
We at Queen Arwa University, with this great affliction and great speeches, offer our condolences to the Yemeni leadership and people, the Arab and Islamic nations, and to his children, family, grandchildren, students and lovers.
We ask God Almighty to have mercy on him and to dwell in the highest paradise of Paradise and to reward him for us and Muslims with good, and to reward us in our calamity and leave him with good.. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.
